  Cool little shop that is very easy to locate. Parking could be a bit tough, but that isn't the shops problem. Lots of new and back stock comics. New are easy to look through, but you will need extra time if you want to look through back stock comics because they are not organized, this you'll have to look through several long boxes in hopes of finding your needed issue. The prices are quite reasonable for a LACO shop. There are also lots of collectibles for sale as well. If I had more time, I would love to have dug through the back issues, but alas...

  Fantastic local comic and game shop! Really enjoy stopping into this store whenever I pass through Irvine. They have a great selection of comics and graphic novels, with lots of new releases as well as older titles and collected volumes. It is easy to browse and fun to discover something different each time I visit. They also have an impressive amount of Magic the Gathering singles. Plenty of options for building new decks or finding a missing card without having to search all over.   Fantastic local shop! Great selection and amazing customer service (I called and asked if they had a particular title and they set it aside for me just in case, even though I forgot to ask them to!). Wonderful vibe and all-around great experience. Excited to visit again in the future!

  Alakazam Comics is a fantastic comic book store! The staff are incredibly friendly and genuinely appreciate their customers. Plus, they don't have a minimum for their pull list, which is a huge bonus compared to other comic shops in Southern Orange County. Highly recommend checking them out!

  Always a pleasure coming here. With a lot of comic book stores, it is often the employees that you come face to face with and deal with. Not here. The owner, Marco, has his office in the shop also and he doesn't just hang out there. He steps out with a smile and greets customers. And he's not just an owner but a huge fanboy also. You can go to events such as San Diego Comic-Con and wizards of the Coast's Magiccon and find him wandering around, engaging with other fans of said nerdoms. Alakazam has come a long way.   Chock full of goodies, nerd heaven with comics, board games, RPG’s (the paper kind, not the explosive kind), some manga, and other accoutrement such as dice and and accompanying soft carriers. Think of the montage where soldiers are slapping mags in the weapons, strapping knives to their boots, layering thick black paint in their faces... except here you have the click and clack of dice laden bags tied to the belt, ruffling pages of the DMs guide, and the slipping sound of awesome comics sliding into their protective covers. Yah this is the place.
