  Card shops have come and gone through the years, but Batter's Box is still around. And there's a reason for that! The best place for vintage cards, especially baseball, plus auctions Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon, where you never know what you'll find! Plus great owners and lots of friendly regulars to talk to. I've been going there for over 30 years, as have many of the regulars, so you know it's a quality shop. Make sure you also check out the memorabilia, especially the autographed baseballs!

  Best vintage cards selection in town and I've been to many shops in the Valley. Really appreciate Dave and Mike for the ease of doing business and also the friendliest guys around. There are also modern cards and non sports cards available, just need to browse or ask. Highly recommend this shop as i feel the best deals in town. There are live auctions on Wednesdays and Saturdays with a program for "store credit" for purchases! Can't find that anywhere else!

  When I lived in Phoenix from 2019 to 2021, this was my go to card shop as I lived only a few minutes away back then. They got plenty of great cards to choose from and cards that are priced for every collector's budget. It's an awesome card shop. Dave who is one of the owners is helpful and runs a great business. I will be back here again to buy some more cards when I visit Phoenix again.

  Cool shop! Worth a visit. However, it is true that the people who work there can be rude/awkward. They never told me about the ticket for purchases over $50!? Their auction wall and all that nonsense is rigged, childish, and laughable as well. Still...cool product and relatively fair prices. Response: it wasn't an "assessment" ....it was what 3 different customers told me while I was shopping. Focus on the common thread in all of the negative posts (the people who gave you a 1) ....don't worry about little old me LOL

  Spent well over $500 at this store over 4 visits, the last one I noticed they offer a ticket for a drawing if you spend over $50, you would think the owner would inform new customers of this, makes me think its probably rigged to have only the owners certain clients win. (The clerk working never told me and my last visit I only spent $35 so I did not bother asking him) Thanks for calling me a tourist, I have lived in AZ for 50 years now, you correct communication is key, if the clerk would have had good communication, he would have realized I am not a tourist.

  this is an outstanding place. it takes a little getting used to, but it is worth the effort. the people that run it know their stuff and it is very old school. Vintage cards at affordable prices and never any question about honesty no fake cards at the Batters Box. . it is as far from on line and computerized as a business can be and still remain open. It probably isn't for everybody but if it is for you what you want, you probably won't go anywhere else. If you are old or look like you need a chair, they will give you one.

  I have been buying and auctioning cards at this shop for over 20 yrs. I have never once got a bad deal or bad service. This is one of the best sports card shops in Phoenix. I will continue to do my trading at this shop for many years to come. Mike and Dave are very knowledgeable about the sports card business and run a nice shop.
