  I recently went to Da Basement on my birthday to celebrate. I loved the energy as soon as I arrived. Everyone was welcoming! There were games and laughter the entire time. I met many people that share my love for Lorcana, Magic, D&D, and cake. I think many are going to be long time friends now. I will be back, although probably without cake next time, and would highly recommend.

  Such a hidden gem!! Kevin is awesome!! He is super friendly, welcoming, and charismatic! He makes you feel at home, and it's such a chill vibe. You can get all types of cards at good prices, they have custom playmats and sleeves!! Kevin really goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and the main goal for him is for everyone to have fun!! 10/10 recommend coming here!! P.S. it's such a cool place that even POST MALONE visited!!!

  It’s a really fun place to play multiple games and the owner are wonderful people. They probably have everything you can ever want or need and have great prices. My only complaint is there events caliber is posted somewhere more accessible. You have to kinda go around on social media to find out what’s going on other and what days. There has been a few times I’ve gone to play magic and they have been closed because they are running a D&D campaign. It’s a shame because it’s difficult for me to get there so to find that out last minute it’s a waste of time and money for me.

  As a Bronx-native living in Brooklyn - it’s been a daunting process to find the right game store to spend my time For MTG. there are more options here than I’ve ever had in the BX and I’ve gotta say my favorite by far is da basement. Lovely energy , no pressure to spend unnecessarily , the absolute best organization of cards for sale , and the cute pups are the icing of the cake. I’ll be coming back very often & bringing all my Bronx friends :)

  Ran a one-shot DnD session for 8 players here over the course of an evening. Kevin was an awesome host and made sure we were fed and watered and had everything else we needed. The gaming set-up itself was great, comfy seats and a decent large gaming table. If I'm ever in New York and need to arrange a game "Da Basement" will be top of my list. - Mike
