  I’m pretty involved in the Pokémon TCG community. I open products regularly, post content, and leave reviews for a lot of card shops around Grand Rapids. Unfortunately, this is not one I can recommend. My first visit was for a perfect order ETB at market and the transaction was quick, so I didn’t leave a review at the time. Since then, I’ve stopped in a few more times, and every experience has been disappointing. The younger employee is rude, doesn’t greet customers, and talks down to people as if they know nothing about the hobby. Most questions are answered with “I don’t know, I just sell th

  Great store, always a pleasure going there! Though I will say the younger employees could a bit more engaged, but otherwise they are friendly and helpful. The owner, Rocky has always been a wonderful guy and I enjoyed discussing MTG with him and making sales. Prices are always reasonable and it's nice to find cards I'm looking for too.   I love supporting local shops. Stopped in the other day and really didn't feel welcome until they knew I was going to spend money. Bought a few cards and some inner sleeves. All but one card were overpriced and the sleeves were actually too small. Would have damaged my cards if I didn't notice.

  Haven't been here, but I've heard good things. I have a question if someone can answer... are people ever around to play Magic in mornings -2pm-ish? I have a really odd schedule that makes playing after 3pm not really feasible.

  Rocky (owner) has been around a long time here with Goldmine. I've been coming here since 2000. If I ever have a question regarding comics and trading card games, he will 99% of the time be able to answer it. Very rare for him to not be able to direct you to the answer you need. Shop is small compared to the stores nowadays, but that's fine. More of a welcoming feel to the shop. Prices are great. Rocky wants to make sure your happy with the purchase, and wants your business again some day. I can get a booster box of MTG for example, for usually $15 or so cheaper than Galactic or Legends.

  "Would you rather shake Abe's hand or read DC KO?" There is nothing I enjoy more than walking into a cluttered unorganized comic book store mess where the windows are covered in torn & faded posters and listen to employees ripping apart either another employee or a customer they don't like ("ABE"). Neither the guy half asleep at the counter or the guy chowing down his lunch acknowledged my existence, and when I paid for my purchase, the guy literally threw my change on the counter, and then when I asked for a bag, he looked at me like I had asked for a personal loan or something.
