Jared from Metro Retro is ABSOLUTELY amazing! He donated the coolest prizes to our non profit soccer club to benefit keeping our prices the lowest in the area- making soccer accessible to even more youth in our community. He also came out to our community event and every age group of players from 4 all the way to 17 years old was at his booth! He is THE BEST! Thank you Metro Retro for caring about our community! Your support is making a huge difference for our non profit soccer club! 👏👏

I came in here today with well over a stack of 100 cards some of them in questionable condition obviously them not having sleeves, but I did however have At least 20 cards that were an actual mint condition because they were in protective Sleeves, the person that I came in contact with appeared to be in my opinion, a Caucasian male with red hair, not sure what his name was, but he wasn’t interested in looking at any of my Pokémon cards he didn’t care If I had a rare 1997 - 1998 picachu illustrator card worth millions lol. I then left without exchanging any further words right after he told me

Definitely got scammed here. I wanted to trade cards of a equal value. The guy explained he could only take trades at a percent, which would make sense if he listed the cards I traded him for their actual market price. But nope he valued them over market, and traded me a card claiming it was worth $90 but it last sold on TCG for $50. I wouldn't recommend this shop. A bunch of scalpers and losers in here. I feel also as I got tricked, the girl was really nice and friendly even asking for my instagram and I felt like that was to distract from the obvious scams they run here.

Been in here twice. My first visit was ok. No greetings or anything. Was allowed to browse, then took my leave. 2nd time I visited was VERY off putting. I inquired about a couple items but I couldn't be given a definitive number on pricing. They just kept on saying "whatever the market price is". You would think people working at a card shop would be knowledgeable about market values & give you a NUMBER, but that didnt happen. I took my leave. On the way out, I saw them selling japanese packs of Mega Dream EX (the equivalent of Ascended Heroes) for $19.99, which is WAY above market (booster bo

TLDR; Pros: - pay insanely well on sealed items - don’t try to hustle you - business minded owner - best inventory in WA imo - cool layout - easy and cheap parking - good eats nearby lol - owner/worker aren’t rude. A lot of card shops have socially inept individuals who make you feel like you aren’t welcome. These guys were super cool to talk to, though! Cons: - not really a con but Tacoma is far for a lot of people. If it’s not far for you, ignore this. - no diet Baja blast in the cooler lol I’m on a diet ———— Sold majority of my collection to them and they didn’t hassle or negotiate hard.

Card pricing at this store is pretty predatory, with many singles in the case 40-60% over market. They had several boxes of bulk cards on a table in the center of the store organized roughly alphabetically with the draw of "completing the Pokédex." A cute idea, but they were charging a minimum $1 per card, when bulk usually goes for $0.10-0.25. This store gives the impression that it was opened by people looking to make a profit, not for any love of the Pokémon franchise or fandom. At one point I heard another customer telling a worker helping her that her favorite Pokémon was Slowpoke, and hi

Metro Retro came to my daughter’s soccer club event Norpoint Day, on Saturday October 4th! Her whole team was SO excited about the Pokemon cards! They even donated three amazing Pokemon box sets as prizes! Jared is really nice! We definitely recommend Metro Retro! Thank you for supporting our community!!!
