  Nine8 Comics is one of the best shops I've been to. It supports it's community, is welcoming to new people, and you can tell that every person working at Nine8 genuinely loves the hobbies they support and wants to provide opportunities to allow other people to fall in love with these things too. They provided me with beginner decks to teach my 9yo daughter how to play Magic. They're trade-in prices are fair (above many other stores in the area), and they're knowledgeable and helpful about pretty much everything on offer.   From their first smaller store location to this larger one, Nine8 has always been a great local card shop. Every time I go in, the store is pristinely clean. The owners are always kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The single cards are always fairly priced and they put fair safeguards in place so that new releases can be enjoyed by as many people in the hobby as possible. They are an absolute gem of a business and what all local card shops should aspire to be. West Sacramento is super lucky to have them and I hope they stay around for years to come.

  Nine8 Comics in West Sacramento is easily one of the best local comic and card shops around, especially if you actually care about the community and not just flipping product for profit. One of the biggest things that sets Nine8 apart is how seriously they take fighting scalpers. They’ve put real rules in place to limit the number of packs per person, which means regular customers, kids, and collectors actually get a fair shot at buying cards. A lot of stores talk about caring for their community, but Nine8 actually backs it up, even when it would be easier to just sell everything to one pers

  Nine8 brings a fantastic sense of community to the area. From regular games of Magic, Pokemon, and DnD, to tournaments, to a monthly comic book club, they are far more than just a store and I thoroughly enjoy every time I go in. The staff are all as knowledgeable as they are friendly, and if one employee doesn't have an answer to something they're always willing to follow up with another employee who will.   This shop is absolutely amazing! The owners are such great people, and the work they do has truly made this community a better place. They have a large selection of card games (sealed product and singles), comics, board games, and even Legos. They host events daily for a variety of things like Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and even a comic/book club. They have shelves where you can either donate food or pick some up if you're in need. They've brought so many great people together and have truly given me a sense of community and friendship.   Found this shop a little over a year ago after taking a few years off from playing MTG. The staff ( Chris and Allan) were very welcoming and helpful to pretty much a new player. Started playing commander, which this store has a great play group, then transitioned into standard. The store is always clean and has a great vibe. Standard events have a nice mix of casual and competitive players, healthy mix of MTG events and always a great environment. Whether you’re looking for comics, MTG, Pokémon or supplies, this store has a wide selection and definitely my go to shop!
