  Such a cool shop. Literally everything you can think of for a hobby shop. We went there for parts for our kids RC cars and ended up walking around the shop for 30 minutes looking at stuff. The staff are super friendly and helpful with questions and tips on your hobby needs. Highly recommend!

  Ran across it by accident while visiting the area. This is not your typical hobby shop. It's a hobby shop on steroids and a very friendly staff that is super helpful. I ended up buying some model rocketry stuff I had been meaning to order to do with my neighbors daughter, but I was able to put my hands on it and got great advice and knowledge. Thank you to the staff for an amazing visit, we will drop back in when we are in town next. Oh, and this is a place for every age. From trains, planes, model rockets, to crafting and my wife could have spent the day checking out also.

  I had the most amazing experience here. The blonde lady (who's name I can't remember, which I sincerely apologize for because she is AMAZING). She was so helpful with absolutely everything. Extremely patient with me, & I feel like I took up a lot of her time. She answered every question I had, while keeping an eye on the store, being very vigilant, mindful, & accommodating with other customers at the same time. Also, extremely kind. As a jewelry designer, this is a really amazing place to go for high quality metals. They also actually carry czech glass, which is hard to come by in a store. I

  From out of town, and this place just has some good vibes. Reminds me of a place called ryders in Michigan that I use to go to as a kid. It’s a toy store and it just feels fun, and all the old planes hanging from the roof are just awesome. I came in for some parts for my jato and Losi and they definitely carry a good variety of well everything.

  The store itself was extremely well stocked with hobby supplies (favoring model makers), everything was about 50% more expensive than I would have liked, even for a small shop. A small bottle of generic acrylic paint was about 4$, and a medium pack of safety pins was 8$. The reason my review is lower is because every single employee ranged from slightly rude to openly ignored me. (I am a visibly transgender individual). I even had one older employee openly follow me around the entire store, and ignored me when I tried to talk to her (I didn't carry a bag, and was carrying all my purchases in m

  Great customer service and support. I got a new Traxxas that broke in less than 5 min of use from unboxing. The part was not under warranty from Traxxas however the guys at Schaefer grabbed some parts off the shelf and got the car going right away at no charge. The knowledge and support from the staff is why I continue to buy local.

  Editing to add: Today (Black Friday) I had to go to both Michael’s and Schaefers. Both were pretty busy. Situation at Michael’s: - understaffed, no workers on floor because they were busy with online orders - fairly long line - had to wait for help with self checkout issue Situation at Schaefer’s: - greeted me when I entered - floor staff offered help, led me to item I was looking for and ensured it was the right version - called someone else to register as soon as there were two people in line This is why I prefer to shop local!   Adam & Austin went above & beyond to help fix our Traxxis. They explained the issues and walked through the machine to correct the problem. Its a relief to have a hobby shop in the area that values their customers! Highly recommend this Hobby shop.
