  Vortex Games is my new go-to LGS. I went for the first time yesterday to play a pre release event for Magic The Gathering's new Avatar The Last Airbender set. I'm very new to Magic, and still learning. I went to the event by myself and was a little nervous, as I didn't know anybody that was going to be there, or any of the employees. Luckily, the staff at Vortex were VERY welcoming and helpful. They answered any questions I had, helped me to understand the game better, and told me about other upcoming events.   Vortex is one of the best card stores that I have ever been to the owners are amazing and they genuinely care about their patrons. The staff is amazing shout out Gabe, Daenelo(I'm so sorry I know this spelt wrong), and Johnny. You can play for free here there's always players to play Commander with, and on the weekends there's a big draft crowd. I'm proud to call this store my LGS.

  I visited this store several times during my trip to Jacksonville. They have a great variety of Magic: The Gathering Commander decks and plenty of other cool merchandise. I was looking for a few basic white Plains cards, and the store clerk was kind enough to give me some for free--really appreciated the generosity! Highly recommend stopping by if you're into Magic or other hobbies.

  I've done at least six Magic: The Gathering pre-releases at this store. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable about upcoming releases, and they remember your name. Very friendly environment that is very welcoming to women, unlike other shops. Also, there is a hygiene policy, so the place actually smells good, unlike some other shops I've been to. This is definitely my favorite LGS because they have a bunch of very niche products that you don't see at other game stores. This store is what I would consider an actual premium card store, given what they carry. And they have Commande

  I have been popping in here every now and again to buy packs. The staff is extremely friendly and the owners are very nice people that take pride in their shop. I took my daughter up to get some Pokémon cards one Saturday and the owners wife gave her tons of free goodies - a poster, a pin, and a couple sheets of stickers. I recently got to attend my very first Magic pre-release event for ATLA. The atmosphere was exciting and I met a ton of great people. It was a total blast, lots of give aways and I can’t wait for more prerelease events next year.

  I’ve been to many game/card stores and Vortex is one of the best. It’s always clean and the staff are all so amazing! They truly love MTG and enjoy making friends with everyone. As a girl, I feel completely welcomed and safe here and I can’t say that about all game stores. Just recently they went above and beyond and replaced a play mat that was damaged. If you’re looking for a welcoming place to come relax and hang out with friends, this is place :)

  Been coming here for a while all the way from Gainesville, FL for the pre release as well as games with my friends. They offer great prices, wonderful staff, and a great community so if you ever get a chance for a pre release ,do it cause they offer fun give aways, playmates , and more. Definitely worth over hour drive to make it and have a enjoyable time.
