  Awesome experience! The website has a good selection of bulk and playable singles (pokemon), something i have had a hard time finding in the kc area. I called ahead to see if I put my order in online whether I would be able to pick it up the same day. I was building a deck so I wanted them asap. The gentleman was very nice and assured me they would have it ready for me pretty quickly. I submitted my order and was at the shop in about an hour. Sure enough my order was ready and waiting for me. The shop was very spacious and clean, while still having a whole area set up with tables for playing.

  Gamers Getaway KC is a wonderful local cards and hobbies store our family loves to support! The owners and staff are friendly, and truly care about the local gaming community through supporting a variety of games, hosting dozens of events monthly, and getting to know their customers! While I am not always able to get out and support the store, when I can be there the environment is welcoming and the community is supportive. Plus we've pull some amazing Star Wars Unlimited cards!   This card store is my favorite! The owner’s Todd and Steve are truly made for this business. They know cards and care more about having a good time with their community than turning a profit on people. They sell their cards at a fair price and will forever have my business. Going to gamer’s getaway is more than just a place to buy cards. It’s an experience. Make sure you order an uncrustable from Carl and ask for it extra hot.   Gamers Getaway KC, where should I even start. Found this store when they were at their smaller location for a Disney Lorcana Set Championship. When I first arrived I was greeted very warmly as a newcomer to their already established community which was a surprise instead of being just another person to walk into the shop. They gave out additional prizing for the set championship as well which most other locations I played at didn’t which was amazing. After that one visit I knew I was coming back.   I was blown away by my first visit to Gamers Getaway. Not only is the selection of smaller TCGs they carry impressive but I was greeted by multiple staff members the moment I walked in, on a busy Saturday evening nonetheless. What really sets them apart, though, is their policy on new releases. They have a clear commitment to getting products into the hands of players rather than resellers. In an industry where scalping is rampant, it’s clear they are leaving money on the table just to support the local community.   I've been a customer at the old shop and now this new shop for a while now. Todd and all the staff are fantastic. Todd started this shop as a way of getting affordable products in the real collectors hands, instead of charging way too much for things that shouldn't be that expensive. The shop itself is very welcoming to both returning customers and new ones and you can tell this is a labor of love. They've always looked out for the local community, if you play or just collect Pokemon, Magic, plus lots of other TCGs. They're also trying to push new TCGs as well that aren't available at a lot

  They don’t sell any Pokemon, One Piece or Dragon Ball Booster Boxes, which I was told “They only sell the packs out of the booster boxes since they don’t get product in.” I never went to a LGS (Local Game Store) that sells cards and don’t sell booster boxes to its customers. I did not get told “We do sell them once we get in more product or come back on a certain date when I know we will get product in.” Just unfortunate since it took me over 30 mins to travel here sadly
