  If you are a true sports card Collector, then you need to visit this shop! I was in town for business and stumbling upon this store was a godsend. A retro and vintage sports card collectors dream, you have to stop by here if you’re in the area and make sure to chat with Gene or Richard, as they are both awesome dudes who love the hobby, and not to mention are extremely fair in their business dealings. Again, a must visit and next time I come to town it may be a day early just for them!

  I stopped in around the holidays coming from out of state with my dad and had a really good experience. They have a wide selection of sports card raw + graded. As a former card business owner and vendor, I can attest that their prices were super fair and competitive. This is definitely the best spot in the Richmond area for vintage sports cards based on pricing and selection. They also have a variety of high end (Jordan’s, Mantles, etc.) at fair prices which makes picking-up a grail or collection piece accessible.   I had a collection of my fathers baseball cards from the 1950s and 60s. I went to see Lakeside Sports and talk to Gene who is the owner. While I had some basic knowledge of the baseball card industry, Gene gave me so much more overall information on the baseball card world, grading, storage and even how they cut cards back in those days. He spent almost two hours going over my cards and helping me organize as well help me decide how I wanted to go about selling the cards and having many graded for increased value.   Stopped in yesterday to check out the sports cards selection. I'm an avid collector myself and love to explore new stores. After looking through the dollar boxes for a bit, I got to talking to Gene, the owner, about sports, the hobby, collecting etc. The guy couldn't have been nicer and when I asked how much for the 6-10 dollar box cards I picked out, he shook my hand and said "on the house, Merry Christmas." That's how you gain new customers. Can't say enough good things about him and the store. Looking forward to checking out his other location in Richmond the next time I'm in the area. H
