  Cute shop, but a bit difficult to spot from the street, you can easily miss it if you aren't looking. Front space has a decent stock of board games, tcg supplies, and other stuff like paints. While the back of the shop has a lot of play space. Nice shop overall!

  This is a cozy little store. Clean and tidy. I stopped in to check out some new MTG cards and noticed they had some cool advertising stickers. When I went to grab one, the clerk rushed over from their game and asked what I planned to stick it on. I was caught off guard and said, “What does it matter? They’re free stickers.” The whole interaction felt unnecessary and honestly came across like it might have been racially motivated, though I can’t say for sure. I just wanted to share my experience in case others have felt the same way, so people know what’s up with this store.

  Stopped by to play a pre-release. Manager/Owner was rude to their staff repeatedly and it really soured the mood. It is not the first time this has happened and it genuinely frustrates me to see him in the store when I stop by. Despite this being the closest store to me, I feel like I will look for another store to visit in the future after these repeated instances of disrespect from the manager towards their staff. Community and other customers seem kind and I have enjoyed the times I have visited without the owner being there.

  I forgot to give my kiddo's teacher $ for the MTG draft, so I went to find some card packs. Gillian (apoligies if it's a J) greeted me and was so helpful! She asked questions to make sure I was getting the right thing (I know almost nothing) and guided me on some choices (there were many) after asking about my kiddo. I tell you, my kiddo was SO happy and shocked with what I brought to her! SUCH great guidence! I feel like I want an excuse to come back, lol! Maybe I'll forget about the draft again :)

  Spellbound is the sum of several stately, yet distinctly different, parts. First and foremost, it’s owner-operator, Geo. Not only is Geo a genuinely uplifting gentleman, he also has a passion for professionalism. Be it fielding questions on anything from assorted gameplay strategies, to product recommendations, he puts forth nothing short of his best foot day in and out. Plus his commitment to the gaming community is abundantly apparent (last alliteration I promise 😁). In other words, the closing hours are flexible so that in-progress games can run their course rather than be hurried along.

  Went in looking for a gift, asked if they have more selection of playmats in the back. The guy who was helping me was upset I asked if they have more of a selection?!? Asked 2 questions about their inventory on cards and every response I received was met with attitude. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning — the behavior of the employee (or owner) felt unwelcoming and brings down the sense of community that a local game store should foster. Pretty disappointed overall.
